Cornwall FA is delighted to announce our support for the FA's national Play Safe campaign, designed to ensure the safety and well-being of young footballers across the country. The Play Safe campaign is a crucial initiative that reinforces the importance of safeguarding in football, making sure everyone involved in the game is aware of their responsibilities.

WHAT IS THE PLAY SAFE CAMPAIGN?

 The Play Safe campaign focuses on raising awareness about safeguarding in football, particularly among parents, carers, coaches, and volunteers. It provides essential guidance on how to keep children safe while participating in the sport we all love.

 This year's campaign highlights the role of every adult in football, urging them to take safeguarding seriously.

Your Chance to Win!

To further encourage participation in safeguarding education, Cornwall FA is running a competition for all parents and carers. To enter, simply complete the FREE Safeguarding Awareness for Parents & Carers online course, accessible here: bit.ly/play-safe2024.

The course only take 20-25 minutes to complete. Once you've completed the course, email your certificate to our Safeguarding Officer at safeguarding@cornwallfa.com. By doing so, you'll be entered into a draw to win a Player's Pack that includes:

• Football training kit: Footballs, speed hurdles, agility ladder and football cones

Important Dates: The competition runs from 1st September until 28th September 2024, with the winner being announced after the Play Safe Weekend on 28/29 September.
